The most up-to-date remote for our common door is an Automatic Technology PTX-6v1 or PTX-6v2. The difference between the Automatic Technology PTX-6v1 and PTX-6v2 is the ability to work with the company’s new industrial product named DAVE.
The PTX-5v1, PTX-5v2, PTX-6v1 and PTX-6v2 are all part of the same series but the PTX-5 versions were discontinued because of changes in lithium battery laws in 2020/1. The PTX-5v1 and the PTX-v2 will still work on our common door.
The cleanest way to code a new remote is to pair it with a pre-existing remote. It cannot be done by removing the cover from the control panel, or at least it is very difficult to do it that way. It is a bowl of spaghetti in there.

The remotes for your individual garage doors and shared (Common Property) Garage door may require replacing from time to time or you may want to add new additional remotes.
The process for these doors is very simple and the following video link explains both processes clearly.
Individual Garage Doors
For the individual garage doors, you go directly to the receiver and use the Door Code button on your garage door.
Common Property Door
For the common property door, use your pre-paired remote to code your new remote, so you don't need to open the roller door box on wall.
Buying A New Remote
When purchasing a remote, ensure you buy a Trio Code or Trio Code 128 remote
